The recent IMAGE 2025 Congress, organized by the AAPG and held in the vibrant city of Houston, was a must-attend event for the geosciences community. Beyond showcasing technical innovations, these events provide the perfect setting to strengthen partnerships and reconnect with valued colleagues.
We had the pleasure of meeting with one of our key strategic allies in Educational Engineering: the Geophysical Engineer Alfredo Fernández from the company Eliis.
📊 4D Analysis: The Evolution of Seismic Data in Producing Oil Fields
The highlight of our meeting with Alfredo was witnessing the presentation of his Poster on a cutting-edge topic: 4D Seismic Analysis applied to a field in production.
4D analysis (3D seismic + time) is crucial, as it allows geoscientists to monitor and understand dynamic changes within the reservoir over time, identifying:
- Fluid Movement: Observe how fluids (water, oil, gas) move within the reservoir.
- Detection of Interventions: Evaluate the impact of water or gas injection and other enhanced recovery operations.
- Drilling Optimization: Guide for locating new wells based on the actual behavior of the reservoir.
Alfredo Fernández's presentation was an extraordinary example of how the integration of seismic data with production variables results in more accurate interpretations and, ultimately, better asset management.
🙏 Acknowledgments and Future
We would like to sincerely thank Alfredo for his kind words and his recognition of our work in training. His presentation and the fantastic poster were, without a doubt, a testament to the excellent technical level that characterizes Eliis.
Congratulations, Alfredo, on this achievement and we wish you the greatest success in your future projects!
These types of collaborations and the exchange of knowledge in forums such as IMAGE 2025 reaffirm our commitment to bringing technical excellence and the latest methodologies to our training programs.
